The Covid Kid

Covid really fucked it up for us,

Din’t it?

We ran like, you know who.

Back to homes of crying comfort.

A great many of us,

Faced with home isolation,

Now sought to reconnect,

With lost hobbies of the past.

Some started cooking,

Their favorite dishes.

Some others picked,

Their favorite novels.

A few percentage of us,

Actually fell in love,

With these hobbies.

After all, they were what captivated us as kids.

Somewhere, down the road,

I shall be telling the safe children of the future,

That when Covid hit, many relaxed and Netflixed,

While a few, like me, started following their dreams.

This is me. As Charles Bukowski would put it - born like this, born into this. I don't like to talk about myself. I am afraid this is all you are getting now. I like to express myself through my poems, and stories and very soon another novel. I love you, my darling reader. So read on.
