21 days

I have been studying myself,

With careful consideration.

I see a clearer pattern now.

The subconscious lags,

By 21 days.

Your conscious mind sees,

The outside world.

While your subconscious,

Is essentially blind. It only knows,

What the conscious tells.

As a budding writer, I

Am getting to know this

All too well. When I think

Of an idea, I leave it, then, for the

Subconscious – it takes 21 days to ferment.

Is that why it takes 21 days to form

A habit? The great 21-day habit?

All the gurus say so.

Whatever you know right now, It takes

21 days to precipitate to the depths.

Where core ideas and philosophies flow

Like ancient perennial molten rivers

Underneath the continental plates.

So let it precipitate. Strive. Strive for 21 days.

Feed that mad dog inside so that it catches up.

And when it catches up. What dread?

What rage? What audacity? What power?

21 days. 21 days, my brothers and sisters.

And after that, 21 more.

21 by 21, you, me, and everybody,

let’s take over the world.
